The 1064nm wavelength of Hollywood Spectra passes through the skin surface and reaches relatively deep into the dermis, selectively delivering energy to melanin pigment distributed in the deep layers.
The short nanosecond pulses of the Q-switched method create photomechanical shock that breaks large pigment clumps into fine fragments. It repeatedly irradiates with low energy to gradually break the pigment down finely, helping it fade gradually through the skin's natural metabolic process.
