How It Works

How This Equipment Works

Mark-Vu works by photographing the skin using continuous LED light sources of various wavelengths, including normal light, gloss light, polarized light, and ultraviolet light. Rather than a flash, it uses continuous light, which reduces distortion caused by momentary light reflection and realistically captures the skin surface under conditions close to natural light.

Images captured with a high-resolution lens contain different information depending on the light source: ultraviolet light highlights sebum and the condition inside pores, polarized light highlights pigmentation and redness, and normal light highlights surface texture and wrinkles—each used for analysis in its own way.

  • Multi-item analysis of pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, sebum, redness, and more
  • Before-and-after comparison possible through captured images
  • Low burden thanks to non-contact, non-invasive imaging

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does the imaging hurt or feel uncomfortable?

A. It is a non-contact method that photographs the skin using light, so there is no pain or irritation, and it can be done without any special preparation.

Q. How long do the imaging and analysis take?

A. The imaging itself is finished quickly, within a few minutes; even including the time to review the analysis results and hear the explanation afterward, it is often completed in about 10-15 minutes.

Q. Is there anything to prepare before imaging?

A. For accurate analysis, it is recommended to be photographed with bare skin after removing makeup, and it is best to avoid excessive use of skincare products right before imaging.

Q. How often should imaging be done?

A. It can be used when you want to compare changes before and after care or a procedure, or for regular skin checkups; the specific interval is best decided through consultation.
